Delicious Door Decorating

We Won!
The Kiddos had a ton of FUN decorating the
gingerbread cookies.
Two Dozen to be exact
because I have exactly
2 dozen students.
We won with our
"Smart Cookie"
secret recipe.
It yields 24 cookies.
I found the cute foam gingerbread cookies
at Target in the $1 row (that I love).
The bad news is now I have to
change my credit card because
I bought them during the hit
(that I do NOT love).

The Kiddos had so much fun decorating.

 Our art volunteer extrodinaire,
Miss Maren, opened up her wonderful treasure box of
beads and bobbles.
I added some little foam hearts.
That with a little tacky glue
made magic happen.

My talented parent volunteer mom,
Kelly, asked for
tin foil (cookie sheets),
black paper (spachula) and
checkered wrapping paper
(oven mitt and recipe book).
She put it all together and
decorated the door.
So CUTE!
The kiddos LoVE it!

MMMMM COOKIES!

A Cookie Exchange with a Kindergarten twist.

The Kinder Kids were invited to bring
2 dozen cookies to share.
We have more than 2 dozen Kinder Kids,
27 to be exact, and it worked out just fine.
We worked hard to earn our Cookie Party.
It was a most fun reward.

All cookies were put on a display table for everyone to oooo and aaaa over.
Kinder Kids decorated their own Cookie Party Bag, a lunch size paper bag.
We took turns choosing which cookies to put in our bags.  Our bags were bulging by the time we were done.  Kinder Kids got to choose one cookie to eat at school and the rest were bundled up to take home and share with our families.

Thank You parents for supplying the cookies.
Your support is always appreciated.

Dear Reader what fun do you have with cookies?
Please share your ideas.
I would love to hear from you.
Until then, stay warm this winter and here's wishing...

More FUN!

You Stole The Cookie From The Cookie Jar?

You Stole The Cookie From The Cookie Jar!
This Shared Reading Chart has become a favorite of my Kinder Kids.
Peanut Butter & Jelly Partners often choose this during Pocket Choices.
Kinder Kids love to see their name in print and up on the chart.
They get to play "teacher" and use the very same pointer I use.
Together, as a class, we high-lighted
sight words and punctuation marks.
"!.?"
Jan Brett's Gingerbread Baby watches over all
and loves to be held.
Click on the image above to purchase from Amazon.

We also read a little easy read book
that I made up to go with the chart.
If there is any interest in it I will post it.
Let me know with a comment...
Give me a nibble or two or three...who's counting?

Dear Reader give this ol' game a try.
(I know it is old because I played it as a kid.)
Then come back and share.
I would love to hear from you.

More Fun!
