My Favorite App for Math!

So FUN! And It Is FREE!

(for now)

This Hungry Fish is eating up number 4 bubbles.  
My SunnyDaz Kids can push bubbles together (add)

 and get a new number (sum). 

3+1=4

When the 3 bubble is pushed together with the 1 bubble it makes a new bubble 4.  
Now the fish will open his mouth and eat it.  
He then becomes bigger.

The game can be made easier or harder.

Of course I had to try it out on my new iPod Touch. 

Again And Again! 

We all love it!

TALLY STICKS - Center2Pockets

Craft Sticks Make FUN 
And Colorful Tally Marks!

My SunnyDaz Kids love to work with Tally Sticks.

It is a great Centers activity.

Tally Sticks are a FUN and EASY way 

to introduce  and practice: 

Tally Marks

Counting and

Skip Counting by 5's.

They are easy to handle and organize.

The Tally Sticks made the transition 

to recording Tally Marks easy.

I bought a package of colored craft sticks.  

They came in four colors of 

red, yellow, blue and green.

I also bought a package of 

plain wooden craft sticks.

Now I had five colors and an easy way 

for kids to make sets of five with 

Tally Sticks! 

(What else could I call them?)

    

When I used the Tally Sticks in a demonstration my SunnyDaz Kids asked 

if they could count with them.  

Kids wanting to count? 

Of course I said "YES!"

And another Center2Pockets activity was born.

I love it when they get so excited 

about a demonstration that 

they are just itching to try it.

Give Tally Sticks a try with your kids

 and watch them go!

I CAN TALLY TO 100! - Center2Pockets

A Math Center!

This Center Is SunnyDaz Kid Approved! 
It got a thumbs up once I enlarged the 
numbers as big as can be.
(I love it when they share ideas to make it more fun.)

I Can Tally To 100!

This is a center I made for
The 100th Day of School
But my SunnyDaz Kids still play it. 

My SunnyDaz Kids like to be timed 
as they make Tally Marks in each box and 
"Race" their way to 100.
Then they practice counting by 5's 
all the way to 100!
I love the smiles :) added to the paper.

I am always making up centers and such for my SunnyDaz Kids.
This is my first attempt at posting a document.
I am hoping you can just click it, print & play.

SPRING THING - A Story2Share

MOTHER'S DAY FLOWERS - Updates

UPDATES
Beautiful Flowers For Mom

Supplies.

See Day 1 and Supply List in earlier post.

On Day 2 we could see rain in our greenhouses!

Note: 

The greenhouses worked better than I expected.

They will also help with a safer transport home

On Day 3 We Waited...
And Watched Our Garden In The Sun...
Waiting Is Soooo Hard!

On Day 4 we could see sprouts!
The little greenhouse helped our gardens 
sprout one day early!

Exciting!!!

Day 5 We took them home with our handmade cards.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!


Note: 
The greenhouses worked better than I expected.
All my SunnyDaz Kids had sprouts 
except for one, 
that is 24/25.
I let her trade out her garden cup for one of 
my extras I'd made "just in case".  
They will also help with a safer transport home.

In time we will have pretty Marigolds to plant in flower gardens or vegetable gardens.
Marigolds are a good companion for tomato plants.

PEEP PLANTS A SEED: A Story2Share

These FUN Little Birds Are Silly And Cute!

I just found them through Pinterest.

I just LOVE a FUN pin:)

In this story Peep finds a beautiful Sunflower.

He loves it because it is round 
and yellow like himself.

He learns how to plant a seed to have one 
of his very own.

He has to be patient and WAIT.

WAITING IS HARD!

We planted seeds on Monday.

It is now day 3.

My SunnyDaz Kids want their flowers to be showing NOW!

They make me smile.
