A Math Center!

This Center Is SunnyDaz Kid Approved! 
It got a thumbs up once I enlarged the 
numbers as big as can be.
(I love it when they share ideas to make it more fun.)

This is a center I made for My SunnyDaz Kids,
I Can Tally To 100!

They like to be timed as they make 
Tally Marks in each box and 
"Race" their way to 100.
Then they practice counting by 5's  to 100!

I am always making up centers and such for my SunnyDaz Kids but I have not known how 
to upload them to my blog. 
I am still learning and enjoying the journey though.
So here is another first in this journey.
This is my first attempt at posting a document.
I am hoping you can just click it, print & play.

MOTHER'S DAY FLOWERS - MINI GREENHOUSES - DIY Craft

Today we will start a little flower garden...

in our little greenhouses to give...

To Mom on Mother's Day.

We will reuse cups and containers from lunch.
(We started collecting them around Earth Day.)

Supplies 
Reused fruit cups (garden)
Reused sandwich containers (greenhouse)
Soil
Seeds
Stickers
Sharpie
Sunshine
Sprinkle of Water
Lots of Love

Now we wait...
Waiting Is Hard!

We will have a great day in Kindergarten today.

Hope you have a day of sunshine too.

UPDATES
The next day we could see rain in our greenhouses!

The next day we watched our greenhouse gardens sitting in the window and waited...
and waited...and waited.
Waiting is hard!

The next day we saw sprouts!
The little greenhouse helped our gardens sprout 
one day early!

Exciting!!!

The next day we took our Mother's Day gift home 
to give to mom, 
or grandma, 
or any special lady we love.

Note: 
The greenhouses worked better than I expected.
All my Kinder Kids had sprouts except for one, 
that is 24/25.
I let her trade out her garden cup for one of 
my extras I'd made "just in case".  
The greenhouses will also help with 
a safe transport home.

In time we will have pretty Marigolds to plant in flower gardens or vegetable gardens.
Marigolds are a good companion for tomato plants.
And they look like Sunshine!

KINDER KIDS SELF-PORTRAIT - Class Book

Cute Kinder Kids!

I Love Teaching The Unit,
I Am Special!

Dear Reader,
It is so much FUN to watch Kinder Kids 
learn about their similarities and differences.
In centers we looked in a mirror 
to notice details about ourselves.
Then we made a self portrait.
We also decorated our names.

Later we tried to decide which portrait 
and name went with each Kinder Kid.
We had to look closely at details.
Finally we had all the matches made. 
We put the art work up to be wondered over 
and admired.

We read "I Like Me"
by Nancy Carlson

Later we made the pages into a book.
