Mittens Are A Must!

We also need our scarves, hats, boots and coats.
We put woolly mittens on our hands but on our walls we have beautiful mittens we've made.
The Kinder Kids had fun decorating their
paper mittens with
buttons  and bows
and glitter that glows!
Come in out of the snow and get warm and take a look
for you must see our mittens.
A picture is posted for you to take a peek.
A pattern of a mitten is coming soon
(as soon as I learn how to post it).  LOL
It would be fun for you to try it too.
We read The Mitten by Jan Brett.
Check out her fun website JanBrett.com

Dear Reader come back and share.
I would love to hear from you.
Until then, stay warm this winter and here's wishing...

WE LOVE OUR NAMES

Three Cheers For You!!!

Each day we spotlighted a Kinder Kid's name...
And We Cheered!

Give Me Three Cheers For You!
Kinder Kids' Names Are Something To Cheer About!
 And Cheer We Did!
Give me an "N"!  Give me an "A"!  Give me an "M"!  Give me an "E"!
What does it spell?  Name! (whisper voice)
What does it spell?  Name! ( normal voice)
What does it spell?  Name! (big loud voice)
Three Cheers for Name!!! Rah!  Rah!  Rah!

We counted the letters in the name.
We carefully checked each letter to see if it had straight lines or curves or both.
We found words inside of names.

The name was cut into a puzzle and placed into an envelope.

Colored markers, boarders and dots made each name special.

NAME PUZZLES are now a favorite pocket activity to do with P&J Partners.

Dear Reader you could do the same thing at home/school
with names that you know and love.
Have Fun!
Then come back and let me know how it went.
I would love to hear from you.
Until then, stay warm this winter and here's wishing...

You Stole The Cookie From The Cookie Jar?

You Stole The Cookie From The Cookie Jar!
This Shared Reading Chart has become a favorite of my Kinder Kids.
Peanut Butter & Jelly Partners often choose this during Pocket Choices.
Kinder Kids love to see their name in print and up on the chart.
They get to play "teacher" and use the very same pointer I use.
Together, as a class, we high-lighted
sight words and punctuation marks.
"!.?"
Jan Brett's Gingerbread Baby watches over all
and loves to be held.
Click on the image above to purchase from Amazon.

We also read a little easy read book
that I made up to go with the chart.
If there is any interest in it I will post it.
Let me know with a comment...
Give me a nibble or two or three...who's counting?

Dear Reader give this ol' game a try.
(I know it is old because I played it as a kid.)
Then come back and share.
I would love to hear from you.

More Fun!

WE WON THE "MOST DELICIOUS" DOOR!

We Won the "Most Delicious" Door!

Kinder Kids worked hard to make these gingerbread cookies to decorate our door for the school-wide contest.  We were excited when we found a certificate on our door proclaiming our door as the "Most Delcious" door!

Dear Reader what fun do you have with decorating?
I would love to hear your ideas.
