NINE, TEN, A BIG FAT HEN - Game

Another EGG-ceptional Math Game

FUN To Read Big Fat Hen
And Play With Number Words.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?
In this case the Big Fat Hen did.
She and her beautiful friends came
right off the pages of this counting book.

I had to wait until spring for the eggs.

Dear Reader,
I reused plastic eggs for a DIY number game.
How can you not use eggs when
 you already have the chickens?

This game is FUN and EASY to make and play.
I wrote the number on the top of the egg
and the number word on the bottom.
I also mixed the colors.
I used a Sharpie pen to write on the eggs.

I used a tissue and rubbing alcohol
to "erase" any mistakes.
Then I let the eggs rest overnight.

To play the game just "crack" the eggs

(separate tops from bottoms)
 and scramble the eggs.
My SunnyDaz Kids love scrambled eggs best.
Now match the number to the word.

Once all the eggs are matched it is time to record your answers.

Number your paper 1 -10.
Next to the number 1, write the word one.
Continue to 10 or 20 or more.
We write our number words on recycled paper.
Try playing this at home or school.
HAVE FUN!
